Oyetoro Oyelese is a trained lawyer with experience across litigation, compliance, and legal administration, and a strong interest in environmental law and climate justice. Her  university research focused on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and the role of law in regulating environmental impact in Nigeria.

As a director at The Climate Periscope, she not only drives the organisation’s vision and goals, but also contributes to the organisation’s research and advocacy efforts from a legal and policy perspective. She is particularly interested in how laws and policies can be better used to promote accountability and protect vulnerable communities affected by climate change.

She supports the organisation’s work by contributing to research, engaging in policy discussions, and helping to shape practical, legally sound approaches to climate advocacy within the Nigerian and broader African context.
